Red Shoes PR, Inc. is a full-service PR agency located in Appleton, Wis. Red Shoes PR provides strategic public relations services to a diverse base of clients in the health care, construction, education, restaurant, B2B, governmental agencies and financial industries. The firm was founded in June 2008.
Red Shoes PR services include media relations, social media training, consulting and execution, crisis communications, communications strategy and development, public affairs, brand perception management and content development.
Overview: Red Shoes PR, Inc. is seeking an individual who has a passion for communications and is interested in a full-time, four month internship with our company. We are seeking an individual who enjoys a challenge, isn't afraid to work hard and appreciates a crazy, fun workplace ... all while wearing red shoes. The candidate should feel confident about tackling the following:

Assembling and preparing client media clip reports and monitoring area publications

Supporting client services team through research, database development, editing, proofing, writing, etc.

Updating and compiling media lists
-
Providing basic administrative support such as filing, note-taking, etc.

Drafting and distributing news releases and media pitches, conducting media relations efforts and helping drive clients’ social media efforts
Well-qualified job applicants will possess:

Bachelor's degree

Prior internship experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to coordinate and organize multiple projects and meet deadlines

Team player attitude
-
Professional appearance and demeanor

Experience in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs/software

Exceptional knowledge of AP Style
Compensation: Paid internship and a red shoes allowance (where else would you get that?!?)
